Wales' countryside is renowned for its beautiful stunning valleys, hills, coastlines and islands. It includes ancient woodlands, riverside walks, mountain trails and lakes to explore. It's a great place to go hiking. 

Snowdonia Eryri National Park

Snowdonia National Park is a mountainous region and national park in North Wales, renowned for its rugged landscapes, including the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), and containing all 15 mountains in Wales over 3,000 feet high. It's very popular for hiking, scrambling and climbing activities.  There are several trails that can be taken to reach snowdon's summit.  

Brecon Beacons National Park 

Brecon Beacons National Park, officially Bannau Brycheiniog is a stunning area in the South and Mid Wales. It's renowned for its diverse landscapes of mountains, moorlands and valleys. It's home to Pen y Fan mountain which is the highest peak in Southern Britain. 

Gower Peninsula

The Gower Peninsula is situated in West Wales. It's the UK's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's renowned for its dramatic coastline, diverse landscapes, and numerous beaches, including Rhossili Bay and Three Cliffs Bay. 

Anglesey

Anglesey also known as the Isle of Anglesey is the largest island in Wales and the Irish Sea. The area boasts of rich history, stunning landscapes and cultural heritage with landmarks like the Menai and Britannia Bridges and connections to the Druids and Romans. 

Llyn Peninsula 

The Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's situated in North Wales. It's a scenic area with a long coastline, including beaches, cliffs, sea stacks, and hiking trails that has diverse landscapes and attractions to explore. 

Clwydian Range and Dee Valley

The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is situated in North Wales. It features dramatic landscapes, including heather-clad hills, ancient hillforts, and the rich cultural and industrial heritage of the Dee Valley, including the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. 

Wye Valley

The Wye Valley is a designated National Landscape. It's renowned for its Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a scenic region situated between England and Wales. It's characterized by the meandering River Wye and its surrounding hills, woodlands, and historic towns.
